What is pancha loham , what is its composition  and what are its uses ?

Pancha loham is a composition / mixture of five metals. It is used to make idols/statues and jewellery. Since its less expensive, Most people have a wrong perception, that, "who can not afford gold ornaments or jewellery go for (buy) Pancha loham",. People buy pancha loham with the belief that it will bring balance to their body and mind. Its widely believed, Wearing a jewellery made of Panchaloha / Panchdhatu brings balance in life, self-confidence, good health, fortune, prosperity and peace of mind. The land and our body we dwell may have imbalance in composition of metals ~ i.e., more or less of a particular metal[s] or a absence of a metal. The secret of wearing jewellery made out of pancha loham is, it provides balance in totality...i.e., balance of life-force (prana sakthi), and thus provides Nutrient and energy to the wearers !!!

Panchaloham also know as aimpon , பஞ்சலோகம் a.k.a ஐம்பொன்

If we use jewellery made out of pancha loham there will be no question on our self-confidence, good health, fortune, prosperity and peace of mind. These are the five metals present in the human body. Studies have revealed many individuals lack some of these metal components in the body. These rings help in filling the absent component to help bring stability and positivity in one's life. They help people to shrug off the negativity and be inclined towards their career goals and motives. These metals also compliment various gem stones which are used alongside. It is essential for you to use it if you are looking for fresh changes in your dull life.

Few wear jewellery / rings made out of this alloy with a sutiable gem or Navratna (9 gems). Others make idols/statues to keep it at home / office / temple, but do remember you have perform Abhisheka (Spritual Cleansing) for idols/statues.

Is this composition of 5 metals possible ?

Yes, Its possible, This mixture can be created, and there is a special process in scriptures to make this mixture ! For every location/land the composition may vary !

Lets look at its composition (components and percentage used),

I have not read Silpasastras , but heared there are various versions as below -

1st version - a mixture of Copper, Silver, Gold, Copper sulphate and Lead.

2nd version - a mixture of Copper, Silver, Gold, zinc or zinc sulphate and Lead.

3rd version - Copper, Silver, Gold, Iron and Lead (Composition - Copper 20%, Silver 33.33%, Gold 13.33%,  Iron 26.66%, Lead 6.6%  or the ration as 3:5:2:4:1 parts)

4th version - Copper, Silver, Gold, Zinc sulfate and Brass (Composition - Copper 80%, Silver 2.5%, Gold 0.5 %, Zinc sulfate 1%, Brass 16%)

5th version - Copper, Silver, Gold, Iron and White lead (Composition - Copper 15.4%, Silver 17.9%, Gold 12.8%, Iron 7.7% and White lead 46.1% or the ratio as 6:7:5:3:18 parts)

6th version - Copper, Silver, Gold, Iron and Brass (Composition - Copper 36.36%, Silver 18.18%, Gold 4.54%, Iron 4.54% and Brass 36.36% or the ration as 8:4:1:1:8 parts)

Few of them use Arsenic and Tin in place of other metals. Like you I am too confused on what version to follow !!! For no reason , I kind of prefer the 3rd version !

In India and other parts of the world ., people make jewellary, amulet, ring, card, pendant, armour, bangle, kada, bracelet out of Panchaloham. zodiac power rings
